A Top Gear fan has completed the ultimate motor challenge - building a £5 million supercar using scrap and spare parts. Amateur mechanic Jacek Mazur, 48, made his own replica McLaren F1 for just £20,000 - 250 times cheaper than the real thing. Mitsubishi Motors has released more details on three concept cars at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, which we will be attending, and all three concepts have something in common -- they're all SUVs with hybrid technology. And three weeks before the start of the show Mitsubishi Motors has released more details previewing the concept cars since announcing the concepts earlier in October. First up is the Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV, in the center of the photo, which is meant to preview a next-generation full-size SUV with full-time four-wheel drive.
Porsche has no plans to sell a car costing less than the Boxster, according to the automaker's head of sales and marketing. "To build a Porsche for 30,000 euros [$37,800 at current exchange rates] currently doesn't fit our brand," Bernhard Maier told the Automotive News Europe Congress in Monaco on Thursday. "The extraordinary purchase experience is not for free and the entry price is currently covered with the Boxster and in the future by the Macan."
He said Porsche's plan to double sales won't compromise exclusivity.
